3 天之前· Three support mechanisms for renewable energy are applied in the Republic of Moldova: net billing to cover own consumption; a 15-year feed-in tariff for producers with a capacity of up to 1 MW; and a fixed price with a guarantee to purchase the energy produced for 15 years, granted through auctions.
87 % of the energy consumption is covered from import – The share of RES in final energy consumption is about 13,25% (according to the 2014 Energy Balance) The lack of own resources and high energy intensity sets the energy efficiency
• To transition towards a carbon-neutral future, the Republic of Moldova should untap its renewable energy potential and invest in renewable energy infrastructure. • Implementing solar panels, improving building insulation, and promoting energy-efficient appliances can reduce electricity consumption and GHG emissions.
According to an analysis of technical potential for RE generation (IRENA, 2019), there is in excess of 27 GW of potential renewable generation capacity in Moldova, including 20.9 GW and 4.6 GW of wind and solar potential respectively, in addition to both biomass and hydro potential.
The capacity for Renewable Energy Sources (RES) is gradually increasing, with a focus on wind, solar, biomass, and hydropower resources. As of 2023, the country has allocated 105 MW for wind energy and 60 MW for photovoltaic parks, aiming to increase the share of electric energy produced from renewables by 2030.
The government plans to diversify the energy mix with more renewable energy by supporting large renewable energy projects based on competitive procurement. The target is to raise the share of renewable energy sources in electricity consumption to 30% by 2030.
Trajectories by renewable energy technology that the Moldova projects to use to achieve the overall and sectorial trajectories for renewable energy from 2021 to 2030 including expected total gross final energy

Primary energy supply in 2018 was about half natural gas, a quarter oil and solid biomass one-fifth. [1] Renewable energy has expanded rapidly and Moldova is seeking to diversify sources of energy and cease purchasing from Russia.
The Ministry of Energy in Chișinău has recently announced the launch of the first tenders for renewable energy projects aimed at large investors, intending to increase production capacity and diversify energy sources.
renewable energy sources offers a range of benefits, such as increased employment and improved health, as well as a reduction in emissions and negative climate impacts associated with the use of fossil fuels.
