Kuwait, December 2023: The price of electricity for households is KWD 0.009 per kWh or USD 0.029 per kWh. The electricity price for businesses is KWD 0.015 kWh or USD 0.049 per kWh. This includes all components of the electricity bill such as the cost of power, distribution and taxes.

The Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects (KAPP) has launched a tender to build a 1,100 MW solar project in Al-Shaqaya, Al-Jahra Governorate, near Kuwait City. The KAAP said that project developers will have to hold at least a 15% stake in the submitted projects.
