Pace BMS troubleshooting and repair | All About Circuits
I have a Pace BMS with assumed bad firmware becuase the CAN and RS485 protocol read from the BMS is blank in the PC software and a choice cannot be selected. I would like to reflash the firmware and see if it fixes this issue. Its a P16S200A-21382-1.00 so I believe its the 200A version from around July 2022. Like Reply. Arque.45. Joined Feb

100A or 200A BMS?
It has been suggested here on the forum that some of the cheap Chinese BMS should be derated by 50%. So a 100 amp BMS is really only good for 50 amps. Some BMS will allow a surge over the amp rating, but only for very short periods of time. The 120 amp JBD BMS (aka Overkill Solar) has been proven to run continuously at 120 amps.
