The fire incidents in PV panel systems were classified based on fire origin.
Currently the number of fire incidents involving photovoltaic (PV) systems are increasing as a result of the strong increase of PV installations. These incidents are terrible and immeasurable on life and properties. It is thus very important to understand the causes, effects and how prevent the occurrence of incidents.
The hot spot effect and aging of PV panels were found responsible in previous fire accidents can be caused by the dust density around the PV array, the ambient temperature, and the material structure of the PV array.
